121 Combat Clashes on Ukrainian Frontline – Heavy Enemy Losses Reported

According to operational data as of October 24, on the front there have been 121 combat engagements between the Ukrainian defense forces and Russian invaders, 37 of which occurred in the Pokrovsk direction.

The situation update was provided by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and published on social media as of 22:00 on Friday, October 24.

In total, since the start of this day there have been 121 combat engagements. The invaders launched one missile strike and 39 air strikes, using two missiles and dropping 81 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the Russians deployed 3,502 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,523 shellings of our troops’ positions and settlements

By directions and results

On the North Slobozhansk and Kurs directions, Ukrainian units repelled one enemy assault. The foe also delivered three air strikes, released six guided aerial bombs, and conducted 174 shellings, four of which came from MLRS.

In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian defenders’ positions near Vovchansk, Odhradne, Bolohivka and Kam’yanka 11 times; three engagements are ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out four assault actions, trying to break through the defense in the areas of Stepevo and Novooselyivka and toward Pishane; one attack is currently ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, the invaders attacked positions near Karpyvka, Seredne, Myrne, Drobysheve and Shandrygolove.

In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy made four attempts to break through in the areas of Serebryanka and toward Dronivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, one engagement was recorded; the enemy attempted to advance in the Vyimka area.

In the Konstantinivka direction, the Russians attacked the Defense Forces’ positions 11 times, concentrating efforts in the areas of Shcherbynivka, Rusynyi Yar and toward Predtechyne.

Since the start of the day in the Pokrovsk direction, Russian units have attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses 37 times in the areas of Nikanorivka, Mayak, Rodynske, Chervone Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Horikhove and Dachne. In some locations, fighting continues without interruption.

General Staff summary

The defense forces are holding the line and reducing the enemy’s activity; according to today’s data, the enemy suffered significant losses – 97 invaders neutralized in the Pokrovsk direction, 60 of whom were killed with no chance of recovery. One unit of motor vehicles and 11 drones were lost. Also recorded were the destruction of a tank, an artillery system, a vehicle and eight enemy shelters.

In the Oleksandrivske direction, Ukrainian units repelled 19 enemy attacks near Zelenyi Hai, Filia, Oleksandrivhrad, Sosnivka, Novohrorivka, Verbove, Oleksiivka, Vyshneve and Novovasylivske; one more engagement is ongoing.

In the Hulyaipilskyi direction, active offensive actions by the enemy were not recorded.

In the Orikhiv direction, the invaders attempted six times to advance near Stepove and toward Novoandrivka and Novodanilivka.

In the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy carried out three fruitless attempts to advance, suffering losses.

Additionally, it was noted that active actions by Ukrainian units in other directions also continued, holding the defense and destroying enemy equipment.
