In the new survey, which was conducted by SOCIS center, 52 % of Ukrainians think that Volodymyr Zelensky should not seek his 2nd term as a president.

The survey studied public perceptions of the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky after his first two years in office.

Ukrainians were asked if “they support the idea that Volodymyr Zelensky should run for the second presidential term in 2024”. More that a half of the respondents (51,2%) said “no” to his re-election, with about a quarter ( 26%) still welcoming the idea. A small share of Ukrainians (15,9%) cited re-election talk as premature.

Zelensky stands 12% approval and 30,4% disapproval in the poll with 54,2% claiming his policies have had both positive and negative effects.

The survey was conducted on 8-12 April, 2021 and had 2,000 over-18 respondents surveyed on phone.
