British Ambassador Neil Crompton Presents Credentials to President Zelensky

On November 5, Neil Crompton, the new British ambassador to Ukraine, solemnly presented his credentials to President Volodymyr Zelensky during the ceremony.

According to the British government, the very fact of the event confirms London’s commitment to developing a partnership with Kyiv within the framework of important bilateral relations.

“The new British Ambassador to Ukraine, Neil Crompton, a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire, presented his credentials to President Volodymyr Zelensky. He reaffirmed Britain’s unwavering support and dedication to developing a 100-year partnership between the United Kingdom and Ukraine,” the statement said.

During the solemn ceremony at St. Sophia’s Cathedral, Crompton said that he is honored to lead the embassy, for Britain supports Ukraine in the fight for freedom and democracy.

According to official sources, as part of the event the ambassador emphasized the strength of Ukraine’s armed forces and people as a source of inspiration, and expressed his readiness to work toward deepening the partnership for many years.
