Where exactly did free fuel sales begin

The addresses of the stations where fuel is sold without restrictions were published on October 26 by the occupying Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Crimea on Telegram.

Public reaction and consequences

Despite the authorities’ statements, local residents complain about the low quality of gasoline.

Since October 17, not only has gasoline of all brands disappeared from most gas stations, but diesel fuel as well. According to experts, the cause was strikes by Ukrainian forces on oil depots and diesel fuel warehouses in the Gvardeysky area.

The Foreign Intelligence Service forecasts further deterioration of the gasoline shortage in the winter of 2025/2026, particularly for Crimea and other occupied territories that depend on supplies from the Russian Federation.

According to experts, on the occupied peninsula there are dozens of large fuel facilities important to the Russians, which, in the event of escalation of the conflict, could become targets.

In summary: the fuel situation in Crimea remains unstable due to supply disruptions and the consequences of strikes that affect fuel availability for residents, especially in the cold season. The authorities and suppliers must assess risks and ways to stabilize fuel supplies for the region.
