As reported by the media Reuters
President of the United States of America Donald Trump announced his readiness to “help Ukraine” in its fight against Russia, emphasizing the importance of a phone conversation with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump shared this information with journalists while aboard Air Force One, according to reports.
He also mentioned his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which took place on July 3, noting that he was “dissatisfied” with the outcome of that discussion.
“I already told you that I was very dissatisfied with the conversation with Putin. It seems he wants to go all the way and keep killing people. That’s not good. That’s bad. I was dissatisfied.”
Trump emphasized that the U.S. has already provided assistance to Ukraine in the war against Russia and intends to continue this support. However, he expressed doubts about the possibility of stopping the war started by Russia, calling it a “Biden deal” that they are trying to end.
During his talk with journalists, Trump also discussed sanctions with Putin, noting that the Russian leader is concerned about potential new restrictions.
On July 5, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Trump is “ready to help” Ukraine in the field of air defense (AD).
“We discussed air defense; I am grateful for the readiness to help. The Patriot system is the key to protection against ballistic missiles.”
Recall that on July 2, it became known that the U.S. suspended arms deliveries to Ukraine, including missiles and ammunition for air defense systems, due to reduced stockpiles in U.S. warehouses.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense stated that no official notifications have been received regarding the suspension or revision of the schedules for U.S. defense aid deliveries. They also added that they are currently verifying all details based on actual data.
