In the Donetsk region, in the zone of active hostilities, about 15,500 civilians remain, with no children among them.
This was announced during an online briefing by the head of the Department of Operational and Duty Service, Communications, Alert and Public Information of the Department of Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense Affairs of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Dmytro Petlin.
“As for the settlements belonging to zones of active hostilities, which number 20 communities, there remain 15,500 civilians.”
Current Dynamics of Evacuation and the Population of Donetsk Region
According to the official, since February 2022 more than 1,313,000 civilians have been evacuated from Ukrainian-controlled settlements in Donetsk region, including 200,850 children and 47,300 people with disabilities.
Over the past week, more than 600 people have left the region.
In the Donetsk region, which is controlled by Ukraine, there remain about 199,000 civilians, including 13,337 children.
As reported, mandatory evacuation of civilians in Donetsk region has been under way since August 2, 2022.
