The debris was discovered by a local resident near an empty house. Authorities secured the area and urged the public to report similar incidents.
It is known that that night Russia launched a massive strike against targets in Ukraine, prompting Poland to scramble aircraft to defend its airspace.
The Polish side had previously recorded airspace violations during attacks on Ukraine. On the night of September 10, 21 drones crossed into Polish airspace; fragments were found in several voivodeships – Lublin, Masovian, Świętokrzyskie, Łódź, and Warmian-Masurian.
On September 18, Ukraine and Poland agreed to establish a joint operational group for unmanned systems, comprising representatives of the armed forces of both countries. Investigators are currently coordinating actions with the relevant authorities to determine the circumstances and prevent similar incidents.
