Eight Injured in Russian Missile and Air Strikes in Sumy Region

According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, as of September 15 the number of people injured as a result of Russia’s missile and air strikes in the Sumy region has risen to eight. Several communities in the region were affected: Trostianetska, Sumy and Yunakivska communities.

According to the latest update, two more residents of Trostianets sought medical care at hospitals – a 16-year-old boy and a 30-year-old woman. Their condition is currently being assessed by medical professionals. In the Yunakivska community, the number of injured has risen to two: a 75-year-old woman needs outpatient treatment.

Update on the injured and the consequences of the attacks

According to the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office, during the morning blasts in Trostianets a 39-year-old man was wounded with multiple shrapnel injuries to the face, abdomen, and chest.

In the Sumy community, a 29-year-old woman was injured by shrapnel from a downed drone, and she was hospitalized.

In the Yunakivska community, an injury was reported as well – a 69-year-old man was hospitalized with multiple injuries.

On September 14, due to an attack by Russia on a farming enterprise in the Boromlyanska hromada, 12 people who were taking part in harvest were injured; equipment also sustained damage.
