In the Kyiv region today, September 15, a tragic incident occurred: a woman died from the explosion, and a man was injured. The Brovary District Prosecutor’s Office has launched a pre-trial investigation, the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office press service reported.
According to preliminary data, the incident occurred around 10:00 in the village of Morozivka, Barishivska community. Near a waste disposal site, an explosion of an unknown object occurred, resulting in a fatal risk and injuries to other people.

Law enforcement agencies are clarifying all the circumstances of the incident and the origin of the explosive device, as well as determining whether there are other threat sources in the region. The prosecutors noted that the materials from the investigative-operational group have been handed over to the pre-trial investigation.
Earlier in Kyiv, a 45-year-old man was detained on suspicion of using a grenade near residential buildings in the Obolon district. The incident did not cause casualties, but created a tense situation among residents.
Currently, investigators are working to establish the source of the explosion and all the circumstances of the event, including possible versions regarding the origin of the explosive substance and its correlation with other events in the region. The results of the investigation are expected in the near future.
