On June 19, a fire broke out in the residential sector of the Sumy community, caused by a Russian attack. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
As of 00:20 on June 20, it was reported that the fire had been extinguished. The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, stated that the fire occurred in the Kovpakivskyi district of the city of Sumy, where one of the residential buildings caught fire.
“No people were harmed.”
Acting mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar, noted that the fire engulfed a residential building, but emergency services quickly arrived at the scene and effectively extinguished the fire’s aftermath.
Earlier, at 23:40 on June 19, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that the fire was still ongoing due to one of the strikes.
According to updated information, Russian forces attacked the Sumy community with drones on the evening of June 19. Several explosions were heard in Sumy, the first of which occurred around 23:00.
