The resistance movement “Freedom for Russia” dealt significant blows to Russia’s railway infrastructure, burning dozens of locomotives on Russian territory.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, these actions were recorded as part of a series of operations against the Russian logistics system.
According to data from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, “Freedom for Russia” has been active since the start of the full-scale invasion and is currently regarded as one of the largest and most effective resistance movements on the territory of the Russian Federation.
Targeted strikes hit locomotives that Russians use to supply weapons, ammunition, and equipment during fighting against Ukraine.
As a result of the attacks, the control and power-supply systems of dozens of rolling stock units burned, units that carried military cargo.
Impact of the Strikes and Context of the Events
The strikes significantly slowed the movement of enemy resources and affected the supply stability of Russian army units on the front lines.
It is also reported that in Kursk region, the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces and the Black Spark insurgent movement struck a transporter-loader vehicle for the Iskander missile system.
