French Police Investigate Drone Flights Over Military Zones

In France, police have opened an investigation after a drone flew over the police station in Mulhouse (Grand Est) and over the railway station where the Leclerc tank train was located.

Resources, citing various outlets, reported that the incident was recorded during patrols.

The investigation concerns the deliberate overflight of a drone over a restricted zone and its loitering over a restricted zone.

The police patrolling the area noticed a drone flight around 23:00 and tried to trace it to the nearest Nord station, located in a zone inaccessible to the public. According to a military source, a convoy of Leclerc tanks was stationed at that station, which was returning from military exercises.
