As reported by the online media Suspilne Suspilne.
A fighter from Luhansk arrived, going by the call sign Komisar. In 2014, locals detained him for five days in a basement for supporting Ukraine.
After leaving his hometown, he joined the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade. Initially he carried out missions using anti-aircraft missile systems, and a year later he fulfilled his childhood dream – he became a sniper.
His story testifies to how the trials of war shape character and open new paths for serving the country. It proves from personal experience that the desire to serve and defend one’s homeland can be realized even in the most challenging circumstances.
Komisar’s Path: From the Anti-Aircraft Gun to Sniper Mastery
The first period of service in the anti-aircraft missile systems unit gave Komisar a rare understanding of the combat situation and the importance of precision. Over time, his ability to adapt quickly, keep a cool head, and thoughtfully select targets allowed him to move to the front line – sniper duties.
Sniper duties became for him not just a job, but a childhood dream realized thanks to perseverance, training, and camaraderie with his comrades. Each shot demanded concentration and responsibility for the fate of his fellow soldiers.
At present, Komisar continues to serve in the ranks of the Ukrainian forces, demonstrating courage and dedication. His path shows that even in the toughest years of war, the will to serve can become the driving force behind realizing dreams and supporting the country.
