Government to raise UAH 8 billion from privatization in 2022, -PM Shmygal
The Ukrainian goverment is set to offload a bigger number of state-owned companies in 2022 to shore up the struggling state budget.

With a wider list of companies up for grabs this year, the  privatization effort is estimated to bring  the goverment over eight billion hryvnas, said  Denys Shmygal during the online discussion ‘Reforms for investment in Ukraine.

The prime minister said t345 privatization auctions held last year earned the government 5.4 billion hryvnas, noting it has been the biggest ‘record’ figure for Ukraine in the last ten years

Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Khmelnytsky and Odesa regions and Kyiv were among the regions with the biggest number of state companies privatized.

Denys Shmygal informed he asked  the Ministry of Economy to overhaul the state property that can be sold off through new privatization auctions and develop the roadmap for ‘corporatization of state enterprises’.
