As a result of a recent attack by Russian forces in the Velykopysarivska community, hydraulic structures were damaged. However, according to the regional military administration, there is currently no flooding of populated areas.

The water level situation remains stable, showing no signs of rising, and is being monitored by specialists from the relevant services.

The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, instructed the Okhtyrka District Military Administration to urgently hold a meeting of the commission on technogenic-ecological safety and emergency situations. Representatives from the Regional Water Resources Office are participating in the meeting. Following the discussion, it was confirmed that there is currently no threat to the population, and residents will be promptly informed if the situation changes.

According to information from the Regional Water Resources Office of Sumy region, the destroyed hydraulic structure is located on one of the tributaries of the Vorskla River. Since there are no populated areas nearby, there is no risk of flooding residential houses.

Due to the security situation, it is currently impossible to inspect the site of the destruction or carry out repair work.

As of the morning of May 20, it became known that a bridge connecting the village of Yamne with Vilne, Velyka Pysarivka, and the Krasnopillia – Kharkiv highway was also destroyed.
