In Lviv, patients and the mentor of the “Unbroken” center debuted an inclusive clothing collection at Lviv Fashion Week. According to the organizers, the collection is suitable for people with prostheses, wheelchair users, as well as those who do not have physical limitations and value stylish clothing. This was announced by the press service of the Lviv City Council. According to the city council, the collection consists of adaptive, comfortable, and stylish clothing with innovative fastenings and functional details that are suitable for everyone – regardless of physical characteristics or gender.

Participants and the Concept of the Collection

“We created a collection that brings people together. I’m against separate adaptive clothing – it should be common for all. It is very important that veterans participate in similar shows, because we have to be united – on the runway, on the street, and in life”

– Fedor Vozianov

Models included: Yevhen Shvab – a veteran and former police officer from Zhytomyr region who voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, lost a leg on the front and endured depression. Now Yevhen Shvab is studying to become a psychotherapist to help other severely wounded defenders overcome their traumas.

Victoria Hemych – a resident of Lviv who lost her leg as a result of a bus striking a pedestrian on a crosswalk. After completing rehabilitation she joined the “Unbroken” team and became a mentor. Victoria has repeatedly participated in fashion shows, notably with Yevhen Shvab they were models at Berlin Fashion Week.

Victor Meshcheryakov – a musician and serviceman from Ivano-Frankivsk region, who as a result of a severe injury lost his arm. Currently Victor is mastering a high-tech bionic prosthesis and has returned to creating music.

“This collection is about rebellion, Ukraine, and resilience”

– Victoria Hemych

The organizers note that the show demonstrates fashion as a space of equality and new opportunities. The collection was created for everyone: people with prostheses, wheelchair users, and also those who do not have physical limitations and value stylish clothing.
