Israel Announces Gradual Reopening Amid Military Actions Against Iran

About this BBC

Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz announced the possibility of a “gradual reopening” of the country in several regions. This information is confirmed by the BBC.

Katz called this a “message of victory” in the fight against Iran. He noted that the authorities are beginning a “gradual process of economic recovery and reopening of various regions,” which depends on security considerations.

Restrictions were imposed in response to Iranian attacks following Israeli strikes on Iranian targets.

The minister also emphasized that the “intense combat operations” against Iran will continue “until the threats are eliminated.”

Israel’s Operation Against Iran

On the night of June 13, the Israel Defense Forces launched an air operation aimed at destroying Iran’s nuclear program. Israeli military aircraft struck numerous targets within Iran, including uranium enrichment facilities as well as other military installations.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the goal of this operation is to “strike Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, its ballistic missile production plants, and military capabilities.” He stressed that the operation will continue as long as necessary to achieve the set objectives.

Following Israel’s attack, several countries closed their airspace.

In response, Iran launched over 100 drones toward Israel.

On June 13 and 14, Israel carried out new airstrikes on Iranian cities housing key defense facilities and military bases.

At an emergency UN Security Council meeting on June 13, Iran officially accused the United States of involvement in the Israeli strikes on its territory. Washington denied these accusations and called on Tehran to negotiate over its nuclear program.
