June 17 Missile Attack in Odesa Damages Inclusive Center and Civilian Areas

On June 17, a nighttime attack occurred in Odesa, resulting in damage to the Inclusive Resource Center. Along with it, a significant portion of humanitarian aid intended for wounded soldiers was destroyed, including wet wipes and clothing. This was reported by volunteer Natalia Chyhikova.

“Yesterday (June 17 – ed.) everything for the wounded soldiers burned down along with the inclusive center. Everything… From wet wipes to clothing. Adaptive items, shorts and t-shirts, suits. Bandages and crutches. Orthoses and braces. I still can’t comprehend it – this is a terrible loss for me, worth a lot of money that you, our dear caring friends, gave us,” the post reads.

The volunteer has already launched a new fundraising campaign to purchase the necessary aid for the fighters.

Details of the Russian Attack on Odesa on June 17, 2025

At 01:28, an air raid alert was announced in Ukraine due to the takeoff of a MiG-31K, signaling a missile threat. The Air Forces reported the movement of drones from the Black Sea area toward Odesa. At 04:45, a series of explosions sounded in the city, and the all-clear was declared at 05:19.

The attack caused damage to civilian infrastructure in the city, including residential buildings, the inclusive center, a preschool facility, and garages.

In total, 17 people were injured, including a pregnant woman and a 17-year-old girl. Rescuers found the bodies of two women aged 60 and 78 under the rubble. One person was hospitalized, while others received medical assistance and continue treatment on an outpatient basis.

The attack resulted in damage to over 50 houses, five of which suffered significant destruction, according to the city council.
