Ukrainian tennis player Kataryna Zavatska captured her milestone tenth career title on the ITF circuit. The victory came in the final of the W35 tournament in Qingdao, China, where Zavatska faced Ekaterina Reingold and prevailed. She was ranked 407th in the world.
In the semifinals Zavatska defeated four Chinese competitors, including E. Shiyu, which secured her a place in the final against Reingold, who is ranked 317th in the world.
The final match lasted two hours and 35 minutes: in the first set the Ukrainian won 7-5, in the second Reingold leveled the score, and in the decisive set Zavatska sealed the match 6-2.
In the final Kataryna appeared as Ukraine’s eighth seed, while Ekaterina Reingold was the third seed.
Thanks to this title, Zavatska captured her second championship triumph of 2025 in this season; previously she had lost to Austrian Julia Grabner at the ITF W75 tournament in Chiasso in April.
Context of Titles and Career Development
This title marked Zavatska’s tenth ITF singles title. It is her second hard-court title of her career; the previous on a similar surface she won in June 2024 at the W75 tournament in Brescia.
On this surface the Ukrainian had previously been champion only once – in August 2015, when she won the tournament in Sharm El-Sheikh.
