Kropyvnytskyi Expands Barrier-Free Route with New Renovations

In Kropyvnytskyi, three new sites were added to the accessible route as part of the expansion of the city space reconstruction.

The city council announced this, confirming further steps in the accessibility program for all residents.

The Barrier-Free Council meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Mayor Oleksandr Mosin.

The Barrier-Free Council approved the inclusion of three sites into the route, which are planned for reconstruction with a focus on convenience and accessibility.

The first stage provides for a major repair of the sidewalk on University Avenue (the right-hand side) from Heroes-Rescuers Street to the parking lot of the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise “Kirovohrad Regional Hospital of the Kirovohrad Regional Council”, the second – the reconstruction of Heroes of Maidan Square and the embankment of the Inhul River from Mykhailivska Street to Vokzalna Street.

Needs and Plans for Reconstruction

The meeting also approved the phases of the barrier-free route.

It is also reported that on Theatre Street the laying of tiles on the main part of the barrier-free route has begun.

The new city-space arrangement is intended to improve mobility for various categories of residents and city visitors.
