On Monday, September 15, 2025, Lithuania concluded the two-month Dronethon campaign to support Ukraine, organized by the civic initiative Blue/Yellow. As a result of the campaign, one million euros were raised to purchase drones for Ukraine’s defense needs.

The funds raised are planned to be allocated for the procurement and delivery to the front lines of FPV drones, reconnaissance, night-vision, logistical, and long-range models, as well as their control systems and accessories.

“Each of these drones is not only a safeguard for Ukrainian troops but also a guarantee of our security. A strong Ukraine means a more secure Lithuania and Europe. Our mission is to help Ukrainians in their fight against the aggressor, but at the same time we invest in Lithuania’s security – the longer Ukraine endures, the fewer real threats we will face.”

– Blue/Yellow director Laura Paukšte

The organizers explained that the campaign was conceived as a marathon-like effort: long-lasting, steady, and focused on teamwork. Thousands of people, companies, and civic groups joined the initiative, purchasing drones and carrying out support actions for Ukraine.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Blue/Yellow has purchased more than 5,000 drones of various types and related accessories for Ukraine. Since the organization’s founding in 2014, Lithuanians have donated more than 100 million euros to Ukraine.

Similar initiatives underscore Lithuania’s willingness to support Ukraine and strengthen security in the region through modern technologies and the mobilization of civilian support.
