Man Suspected of Collaboration in Khartsyzk Occupation Administration Faces 15 Years

A man who, according to law enforcement, works in the occupation administration of Khartsyzsk in Donetsk region, is suspected of collaboration. Investigators believe that he voluntarily holds the position of “deputy mayor.” This was stated in the text of the suspicion, published on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. The suspect is a 41-year-old man. According to law enforcement, he was appointed “deputy mayor of Khartsyzsk” no later than August 29, 2024. He is responsible for the housing and utilities sector, and in case of temporary absence of the “mayor” of the occupied city, he performs his powers.

Circumstances of suspicion and possible punishment

A 41-year-old man is suspected of collaboration activities and voluntary work in the occupying administration, Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

He faces up to 15 years’ imprisonment. The suspect continues to work in the occupying “administration” of Khartsyzsk.
