Massive Russian Drone Attack Hits Konotop City in Sumy Region

In the morning of September 28, the city of Konotop in Sumy region became the epicenter of a massive attack by Russian drones. A series of explosions rang out in the city, and the mayor Artem Semenikhin confirmed the presence of injuries and the filing of medical assistance requests from a man and a woman. Their condition is preliminarily assessed as mild; this information was confirmed by the head of the regional military administration Grigorov.

As of 10:07, Russian unmanned aerial vehicles continued to be detected over Konotop. According to Semenikhin, due to a hit in the city center a tram was damaged. There are no fatalities at this time.

After the strike, water supply was halted: water remained available only in two microdistricts of the city; details require clarification from local authorities.

From the morning of September 27 to the morning of September 28, Russia also attacked 20 communities of Sumy region. In the region, damage was recorded in five districts: Sumskyi, Znob-Novhorodskyi, Richkivskyi, Boromlyanskyi and Putivlskyi.
