A meeting with the Patriarch Filaret of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church took place at the residence of the Metropolitan of Kyiv, Epiphaniy.
The Kyiv Metropolis of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine press service reported this, according to Ukrinform.
According to the report, the previous meeting took place on October 26, 2025 and was held to mark the 30th anniversary of Filaret’s enthronement; at the new meeting in the Metropolitan’s House participated Metropolitan Dmytro of Lviv and Sokal, Metropolitan Serhiy of Donetsk and Mariupol, Metropolitan Yevstratiy of Bila Tserkva, and Archbishop Agapit of Vyshhorod.
Epiphaniy once again congratulated Filaret on his anniversary and expressed gratitude for his many years of service in building the autocephalous Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The meeting also discussed the challenges of Russian aggression and the situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Participants noted that the use of Ukrainian in liturgy is a cornerstone of its development and establishment.
According to Epiphaniy, the church’s achievements have become a solid foundation that no enemies will be able to destroy.

In recognition of Patriarch Filaret’s merits in the revival of St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of its consecration, he was presented with a certificate of appreciation from the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

As reported, in the village of Khimchyn in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, a monument to Patriarch Volodymyr Romanyuk was unveiled on the 100th anniversary of his birth. The monument was consecrated by His Beatitude Epiphaniy.
