The fifth Mykolaichuk Open audience cinema festival, which will take place in Chernivtsi from June 13 to June 20, 2026, has opened film submissions.
The festival’s press office announced this on its Facebook profile, according to Ukrinform.
International or Ukrainian feature-length fiction films (over 60 minutes) are accepted into the international competition, and Ukrainian short films (up to 30 minutes) into the national competition.
Entries can be submitted via the FilmFreeway platform by March 15, 2026.

It is also known that Mykolaichuk OPEN is an international audience cinema festival dedicated to the iconic Ukrainian actor, screenwriter, and director Ivan Mykolaichuk.
The first festival was held in Chernivtsi in 2022.
