Netanyahu Meets Trump at White House to Discuss Gaza Ceasefire and Hostage Release

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will head to the White House this Monday for a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. According to statements from the U.S. administration, the visit includes lunch, a series of talks, and a joint press conference by the leaders, highlighting the close level of coordination between the two countries.

This is Netanyahu’s fourth visit to the White House since Trump’s return to the presidency earlier this year. The main topic of the meeting is the 21-point plan, which will address the end of hostilities in Gaza, the development of a postwar governance mechanism, and the release of 48 hostages held by Hamas. According to Israeli assessments, about twenty of them may still be alive.

A day before the official visit, Netanyahu spent time at the hotel, coordinating with his advisers on the strategic course and key positions in the negotiations. According to the schedule, at 11:00 local time (18:00 Kyiv time) Trump will meet the Israeli prime minister at the White House. After that, talks and a lunch break are planned, and the joint press conference is expected at 13:15 (20:15 Kyiv time).

Participants expect that this joint engagement will underscore the strength of the U.S.-Israel strategic partnership and focus on restoring regional security, humanitarian issues, and joint steps to stabilize the Gaza situation, as well as ensuring the security of allies in the Middle East.
