As reported by Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council
The Center for Countering Disinformation, in partnership with Diia.Education, launched the series “DisINFAKEtion,” which will teach how to recognize fakes, resist manipulation, and understand the mechanisms of propaganda.
What the series offers and how it works
“The Center for Countering Disinformation, together with Diia.Education, created the educational series ‘DisINFAKEtion’. In nine short episodes – all about information bubbles, cognitive biases, deepfake technologies, and the rules of information hygiene.”
The authors emphasize that watching the series will help develop critical thinking and engage in information resistance. It can be viewed through Diia.Education.
It is also worth paying attention to how disinformation content is promoted across different networks and how to verify facts to avoid spreading falsehoods.
According to Ukrinform, Andriy Sibiga, Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, noted that Russia places its main bet on disinformation because it cannot win on the battlefield. Despite spending cuts, in Russia’s state budget funding for propaganda will rise by 54%.
