The Ukrainian team earned its sixth medal at the World Youth Championship in wrestling for competitors under 23, in Novi Sad, Serbia.
Oleksandra Rybak won bronze in the 65 kg weight category
The Ukrainian wrestler Oleksandra Rybak became a bronze medalist in the tournament, finishing third in the 65 kg category.
In the bronze-medal bout, she convincingly defeated Uzbekistan’s Mukhayo Narzilloeyeva with a score of 10:0.
Additionally, earlier yesterday another Ukrainian won bronze – Aida Kerimova won in the 50 kg weight category.
The reigning European champion Iryna Bondar from Zhytomyr region advanced to the final in the 62 kg category; in the final she will face the Japanese Sakura Motoki.
According to the results of the Greco-Roman wrestling competition, the Ukrainian team placed second in the overall team ranking among 44 countries, winning 2 gold and 2 silver medals.
The World Youth Championship will conclude on October 27 with freestyle wrestling.
