The Polish and Estonian foreign ministries have issued a joint appeal to citizens to refrain from traveling to Belarus. Those who are already in the country are advised to leave as quickly as possible through the available routes. These official statements were issued by the relevant authorities of both countries.
In Warsaw, it is emphasized that citizens should use all available means to depart Belarus – through commercial carriers or private routes. Polish authorities warn that if borders close, evacuation could become impossible. At present, only one border crossing remains open – Terespol–Brest.
The Estonian side also recommends that citizens do not plan trips to Belarus and register their stay in the Reisi Targalt system so that they can quickly receive assistance if needed.
In Tallinn, it was emphasized that the security situation in the region could be unpredictable, so it is important to follow official recommendations and stay informed of updates.
Earlier, both states repeatedly warned about risks to their citizens due to Minsk’s and Moscow’s active cooperation, as well as the repressive actions of the Belarusian authorities within the country. Citizens are advised to follow official advisories and comply with the recommendations.
