On the night of September 28, Russia launched a drone strike against the Odesa region. There were no civilian casualties, but damage was recorded at a winery and a nearby private residence.
According to the State Emergency Service of the Odesa region, a workshop and a warehouse for finished products of the wine enterprise were destroyed; the roof of a neighboring private house was also damaged. To mitigate the aftermath, six units of equipment and 27 firefighters were involved, and from local fire brigades – two units of equipment and four specialists.
In the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, law enforcement authorities have opened a pre-trial investigation into war crimes; it concerns the destruction of the workshop and warehouse of the enterprise, with no casualties. The investigation is being conducted under Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The air-raid alert lasted several minutes: it began at 0:35, with a repeated announcement at 1:43, and the all-clear in the morning after a series of signals (1:21, 3:36, 4:24, 6:47). The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Air Forces monitored the situation; drones were active in the Sarata area and on the waters of the Black Sea.
