Russia’s Massive Drone and Missile Attack on Ukraine Sparks Calls for Stronger Sanctions

For more than 12 hours, Russia carried out a massive attack on Ukrainian cities.

According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, the strikes were directed mainly at Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, as well as at Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi region, Sumy region, and Odesa region. In the capital, the Cardiological Institute building was damaged. According to the latest data, at least four people have been killed in Ukraine, including a 12-year-old girl; more than forty people have been injured, including children. The attack also involved more than 40 missiles, among which Kinzhals are mentioned.

Zelensky called the attack “cowardly” and linked it to the closing of the UN General Assembly week, emphasizing that this demonstrates the Kremlin’s real position.
