9 civilians, including 2 children have been killed after the Russian air strike hit the residential area in Sumy, Ukrainian emergency service said in a statement on Monday.

The missiles targeted the houses in the streets of Romenska and Spartak.

The emergency service team said they were extinguishing the flames at the site and recovered the bodies of nine people. One woman was pulled from the rubble alive.
