Russian Attack Cuts Power to Eight Coal Mines in Dnipropetrovsk

On November 6, as a result of another attack by the Russian armed forces on the Dnipropetrovsk region, eight coal mines were de-energized. At the time of the attack, 2,595 miners were underground. This is stated in a statement from the Ministry of Energy.

Preliminarily, there are no fatalities or injuries. Rescuers and mine personnel quickly organized the evacuation of people to the surface. The lifting of miners is also underway.

According to the agency, the electricity supply situation is under control; restoration work and bringing workers to the surface continue under the supervision of rescuers and mine administrations.

Following the attack, it is necessary to ensure personnel safety and restore normal energy supply; specialists are working in an intensified mode, monitoring the situation at underground facilities and on the surface.
