The night of September 28 brought massive shelling of Kyiv by Russia. As a result of missile and drone strikes, damage to the premises of the European Union representation and to the building of the Polish embassy was recorded. The information was confirmed by EU Ambassador Kateryna Maternova and the spokesman for the Polish MFA, Pavel Wronsky, in a statement to RMF FM. According to Maternova, the EU representation’s building itself remained without significant damage, but several cars were damaged in the parking lot.

The diplomat also stressed that the shelling is another confirmation that Russia intentionally attacks civilian objects and tries to intimidate the population.

Also during the night of September 28, a Russian missile damaged the Polish embassy building in Kyiv. According to Pavel Wronsky, a spokesperson for the Polish MFA, preliminary assessments indicate that the damage was minor.
