On the night of June 19, Russian forces struck the Nikopol and Samarsky districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region. This was reported by Serhiy Lysak, head of the regional military administration, on his Telegram channel. Air defense forces were also active in the region.
According to the official, Nikopol was hit by drone and artillery attacks, with the Myrivska and Marganets communities particularly affected. Five people were injured as a result of the shelling. The fire destroyed a vehicle and damaged a private house along with other infrastructure.
In the Samarsky district, drones caused a fire. During the night, air defense forces shot down three Russian drones over Dnipropetrovsk region.
At 8:15, Serhiy Lysak specified that among the injured was an 11-year-old boy. The child and three adults received medical care in the hospital. Another victim, a 59-year-old man, is in serious condition, while the rest are in moderate condition. One of the injured will be treated on an outpatient basis.
In addition to the destroyed vehicle and damaged private house, an unused building was also affected.
At 9:08, it became known that the 59-year-old man died in the hospital. He had been brought in critical condition with shrapnel wounds and severe burns.
Throughout the day, the Russian army continued attacks on the Nikopol area. Drones targeted the district center as well as the Myrivska and Pokrovska communities. A 64-year-old man was injured and will also receive outpatient treatment. Infrastructure and a garage were damaged as a result of the attacks.
