As reported by the online media Suspilne.
During the night, Russian forces carried out an attack on Odesa using drones. The attack damaged critical infrastructure, the housing sector, and the hotel-restaurant complex. According to the city council, the drones hit exactly at infrastructure targets: in a three-story building of the hotel-restaurant complex, in two private houses, and in the glazing of one of the floors of a 25-story residential building. As a result of the incident, a 47-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized.
In the Khadzhibey district, damage of varying degrees has been recorded to about ten private houses; one of them cannot be restored.
Consequences and residents’ accounts
“Here lives my mother and my older daughter. At night a Shahed flew straight into the yard and collapsed the entire house. City officials said that the house cannot be restored”
Residential properties were damaged by the destruction: Alona added that her daughter Anastasia sustained cuts to her legs during a panicked escape and hid behind one of the collapsed walls. The mother endured significant stress from the sudden blasts.
“When the explosions began, I was in the bedroom. Then I saw a fire and ran out. The last blast caught me in the next room – we were lying on the floor with our dog, trying to survive”
The blast wave also affected a multi-storey building in the Peresyp district. Part of the city was temporarily without electricity and water supply. Energy workers and utilities are working to restore critical communications and normalize the situation in the city.
