On May 19, Russia carried out a Molniya drone attack on a checkpoint in the Kharkiv region, where police officers and National Guard servicemen were on duty. As a result of this attack, two police officers and three National Guard members suffered concussions.

The regional police chief, Petro Tokar, reported that each explosion during the attack was equivalent to three to five kilograms of explosives, causing a powerful shockwave. The police officers caught in the blast zone were diagnosed with “acute barotrauma,” which can lead to damage to the central nervous system and impaired function of internal organs.

At present, the injured are in satisfactory condition and have received the necessary first medical aid. Petro Tokar expressed hope that they will soon be able to return to service and continue carrying out their duties on the front lines.

This incident once again highlights the dangers faced by Ukrainian defenders at checkpoints in the combat zone, as well as the importance of prompt medical support for those affected.
