Russian Drone Attack Kills Man, Injures Family in Slatyne

On September 28, a Russian drone struck a civilian car in Slatine, resulting in the death of a man, and his wife and child were injured. As of September 29, medical staff had stabilized the victims’ condition: there is no threat to the woman’s life.

According to Oleksandr Kulyk, a spokesperson for the Derhachi City Military Administration, a 41-year-old woman is in a severe but stable condition. She sustained numerous fragmentary injuries to the abdomen, shoulders, and chest, as well as a laceration to her lip; a prolonged rehabilitation is expected.

The 14-year-old girl was not injured; she is in a state of distress. The family are residents of Prudyanka, and they were returning home when the strike occurred.

Residents of Slatine transported the injured woman and child to the village center, after which they were sent to Kharkiv Regional Clinical Hospital. According to Kulyk, Slatine and Prudyanka are not currently on the list of mandatory evacuation points for families with children.
