During the response to the shelling in the village Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka, Russian troops attacked the rescuers twice: one drone destroyed a fire tanker, and another damaged a fire engine.
On that day, the occupying forces carried out a massive strike on the village, causing fires to break out in several areas. While extinguishing the aftermath, a second drone hit the site of the rescue operations.
According to the State Emergency Service, Russian troops conducted two drone strikes against the rescuers. The first strike damaged a fire engine. Later, the second drone struck the fire tanker – it completely burned. The rescuers remained unharmed.
After the attacks, firefighters continue to assess the damage and ensure firefighting at the scene.
Such incidents highlight the risks faced by those who work daily in areas under shelling. Measures to strengthen safety and coordination for rapid firefighting and saving the lives of the population continue.
