On March 6, eight civilian residents were killed by Russian troops in Irpin, Kyiv region, while trying to flee from the town.

Irpin city mayor Oleksandr Markushyn reports that people died during evacuation when Russians started to shell the refugees.

He eye-witnessed the killing of the entire family, including two children.

The mayor also states that part of Irpin is occupied by Russian forces.
