In the night of November 6, Russian forces struck the railway’s energy infrastructure and one of the stations in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This information was confirmed by the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.
According to him, backup diesel locomotives have been deployed to support railway traffic.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, train No. 733 from Dnipro to Kyiv is currently operating with an auxiliary locomotive, with an expected delay from the schedule of less than one hour.
Due to damage on the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia directions, delays of up to five hours are expected for trains passing through Dnipro: No. 31/32 Zaporizhzhia – Przemyśl; No. 119/120 Dnipro – Chełm, which also carry trailer wagons Pavlohrad – Kyiv; No. 37/38 Zaporizhzhia – Kyiv.
Passengers are advised to monitor the current schedule and check specific trains before traveling, as changes may occur on several routes due to infrastructure damage.
