30 billion hryvnas of Covid relief funds spent with ‘violations’ , state audit report
State Audit Service of Ukraine found the Ukrainian goverment has misspent over 30 billion hryvnas of Covid relief funds.

A new audit held by State Audit Services rings the alarm over misuse of the pandemic support money.

With 67.9 billion of 78.4 billion hryvnas of Covid relief money already spent,  state inspectors found multiple violitions and ‘ineffective use’ practices that cost the government 30.1 billion hryvnas.

Road construction projects were the second biggest money waster as over 12,5 billion hryvnas out  26.1 billion doled out by the state were spent with multiple violations of bidding procedures.

The Anti-COVID-19 Fund was established in Ukraine on April 13, 2020, when the parliament adopted amendments to the law on the state budget due to the need to finance combating COVID-19.
