As reported by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on his Telegram channel
Ukraine has received confirmation of nearly £1.7 billion from the United Kingdom, which will be used to purchase the latest weaponry. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
“The relevant decision was made at a government meeting. With these funds, we plan to acquire Rapid Ranger air defense missile systems, as well as lightweight multi-purpose Marlet missiles. This will significantly strengthen our air defense and our ability to stop the enemy,”
In addition, the Prime Minister noted that London announced record support in supplying drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The total amount of this aid is £350 million, which will enable Ukraine to receive 100,000 drones this year.
This decision was made during the 28th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the “Ramstein” format. Thus, the total military support from the United Kingdom to Ukraine in 2025 has reached £4.5 billion, of which £247 million will be allocated for training Ukrainian military personnel.
