According to Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine
The Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity is preparing a digital tool that will accompany internally displaced persons throughout their journey: from evacuation to full integration into the community.
This was announced during a meeting with ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions by Denys Ulutin, the Minister of Social Policy, according to Ukrinform, citing the ministry.
Policy on IDPs should be guided not merely by payments, but by the person and their needs. Therefore we continue to work on the IDP Support Strategy. I thank our international partners, the members of parliament who are involved in this process. This is a clear step-by-step plan. First, housing; second, systemic support. And third – reintegration and job search
Two main directions of work
The ministry outlined two key directions: creating a digital tool for IDPs that will provide support to a person at all stages – from evacuation to integration into the community – and implementing housing policy with an emphasis on preferential loans and social rental.
They also discussed issues of access to housing, education, medical and social services, as well as conditions for the long-term integration of internally displaced persons into communities.
They also mentioned a potential bill that would ease the criteria for receiving rent subsidies for internally displaced persons, with an emphasis on resuming payments to children.
