Ternopil region hit by a rare earthquake
A rare 4.3 magnitude quake struck near Chortkiv in western Ukraine.

Ukraine’s State Cosmic Agency reported a 4.3-magnitude earthquake  in Ternopyl region near Chortkiv.

The quake struck at 6:18 a.m. local time at a depth of some 6 kilometers.

Rated as moderate,  it produced slight jolts and swinging of  lights indoors.

The quake was felt in Ternopil, Khmelnytski, Vinnytsya, and Chernivtsi regions.

There were no immediate reports of damage and victims.
