According to the results of a recent nationwide survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) from May 2 to May 12, 2025, 74% of Ukrainians express trust in President Volodymyr Zelensky, while 22% do not trust him.

Sociologists also analyzed the level of trust in ten well-known Ukrainian politicians, including Petro Poroshenko, Serhiy Prytula, Dmytro Razumkov, Vitali Klitschko, Yulia Tymoshenko, Yuriy Boyko, Oleksiy Honcharenko, Oleksiy Arestovych, and Yevhen Murayev. The sample was formed based on their media activity and high-profile statements.

Besides Zelensky, only Serhiy Prytula has a positive trust-distrust balance, with 50% trusting him and 38% distrusting him, resulting in a +12% balance. Vitali Klitschko received 43% trust, but 47% of respondents do not trust him. Oleksiy Honcharenko is trusted by 27%, while distrust stands at 41%. Dmytro Razumkov has 27% trust and 32% distrust, with 34% of respondents not knowing who he is.

Petro Poroshenko received 25% trust, while 70% do not trust him. Yulia Tymoshenko has only 14% trust, with distrust reaching 80%. The lowest trust ratings belong to Oleksiy Arestovych and Yuriy Boyko – both at 7%, while Yevhen Murayev received only 6% trust, with 47% distrusting him and 43% not knowing who he is.

Overall, 91% of respondents trust at least one politician from the list, with trust averaging across three politicians.

Compared to February 2024, trust in Zelensky increased from 64% to 74%. At the same time, trust in Serhiy Prytula decreased from 61% to 50%, and the trust balance fell from +28% to +12%. Vitali Klitschko’s figures remained almost unchanged – 43% trust compared to 45% in February 2024.

Dmytro Razumkov experienced an increase in the share of those who do not know him – from 27% to 34%. Trust in him decreased from 35% to 27%, and the balance worsened from +2% to -5%. Trust in Petro Poroshenko declined from 31% to 25%, and the balance dropped from -37% to -45%. Yulia Tymoshenko’s figures remained almost unchanged – 14% trust compared to 17% in February 2024.

The number of those who do not know Oleksiy Arestovych rose from 4% to 10%. Accordingly, the number of those who trust or distrust him slightly decreased, while the balance remained at -72%. Yuriy Boyko’s figures changed slightly: trust decreased from 10% to 7%, and the balance from -63% to -65%.

The survey was conducted using telephone interviews (CATI) based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers in all government-controlled regions of Ukraine among 1,010 respondents aged 18 and older. The statistical sampling error with a 0.95 confidence level does not exceed 4.1% for indicators close to 50% and 1.8% for indicators close to 5%, considering a design effect of 1.3. Due to the war, additional systematic deviation is possible.
