Ukraine Reports Major Russian Military Losses on September 28, 2025

As of September 28, 2025, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports significant Russian losses in new battles. Official data indicate substantial figures in personnel and equipment, but final figures require additional confirmation after verification from various sources.

During 27–28 September, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 1,110 occupiers, destroyed 454 strike drones of operational-tactical level, 45 artillery systems, 131 units of motor vehicles and other weapons. The information requires clarification and may be adjusted after more detailed data verification.

Current daily losses and overall totals since the start of the war

Overall since February 24, 2022, Russian losses have amounted to: about 1,108,510 military personnel, 11,211 tanks (+7 in the last 24 hours), 23,290 armoured fighting vehicles (+2), 33,231 artillery systems (+45), 1,503 multiple launch rocket systems (+1), 1,223 air defense systems, 64,385 unmanned aerial vehicles (+454), 63,040 units of motor vehicles and fuel tankers (+131).

The General Staff also emphasizes that these figures are operational and may change in light of new data arriving from the front and other sources. The military command is working to update the statistics for a clearer picture of the situation along the front line.

Note that such data reflect the scale of hostilities and the dynamics of losses since the start of the war. Updates on losses continue to arrive regularly, and official sources emphasize the need for adjustments as new information that appears on the front becomes available.
