In a TV program on ICTV channel, state security council secretary Oleskiy Danilov put to doubt natural origins of the COVID-19 pandemic, calling it ‘World Biological War I’.

‘Personally, I believe that in December 2019, the First Great Biological World War began. The aftermath of the events in Wuhan, which the world shyly calls a ‘pandemic’, still affects us’, Danilov said.

In his rather vague comments, Danylov cited economic and political consequences of the pandemic that fuelled a global financial crisis and inflation.

The the official who is no stranger to controversy  argued that he held this view since the beginning of the pandemic and would readily change once scientists prove COVID-19 was not man-made.

Danylov said it is ‘difficult’ to name the culprit behind the pandemic ‘war’.
