The Ukraine U19 national football team, among players born in 2007 and younger, secured a third consecutive victory in the first qualifying round of the 2026 European Championship.
In the final match of Group 5 in Albania, the Ukrainians confidently defeated the Slovaks 3-0 and, finishing first, advanced to the Elite Round of the Euro-2026 (U19) qualifiers.
Goals: Dmytro Bohdanov – 17th minute, Kyrylo Dihtyar – 33rd, Dominik Balog – 45+1 – own goal.
In another match of the quartet, Albania lost to Montenegro – 0:1.
As a reminder, in the first round the Ukrainians crushed Albania (3:0), in the second – Montenegro (3:0).
Standings after three rounds: Ukraine – 9 points, Slovakia – 4, Montenegro – 3, Albania – 1.
Group victory and advancement to the Elite Round
According to the results of the qualifying round, the two best teams from each group, as well as the best among the third-placed teams, will join Spain in the Elite Round. It will take place in spring 2026, and in seven groups seven teams will join Wales, which will host the final tournament.
