October in Ukraine will begin not just with cold weather, but with very cold weather: that’s how Natalka Didenko describes the start of the month in her forecast.
Tomorrow, October 1, daytime temperatures in most regions will vary between +6…+10°C. In the southern regions, warmer readings of up to +11…+16°C are expected. Along with the cold wind, the weather promises to be quite damp: rains will sweep across almost the entire country, and in the Carpathians, wet snow is possible in places.
Only Volyn, Rivne region, the northern parts of Kyiv region and Chernihiv region will try to stay free of precipitation. But everywhere there will still be damp, cloudy weather.
In Kyiv on October 1, cloudy skies with a chance of rain are expected later in the day; daytime temperatures will stay between +8…+10°C.
Features and consequences of the start of the month
The first month of autumn brings noticeable cooling and a drop in daytime temperatures. High humidity, frequent precipitation, and cool nights will become characteristic for much of the territory, with nighttime temperatures potentially dropping below zero in some regions. This scenario will affect everyday life and requires appropriate clothing and preparation for cold mornings.
